Siemens
The oldest start-up in Germany
TASK:
Siemens. You should know about it. But do you also know what makes the young employees tick? Or where to get the best coffee or the most beautiful break corners? Many young people would like to do something with a future here. It was our task to arouse interest in a target group that Siemens may not encounter so often in their everyday lives. And to show: It can be pretty cool here!
CONCEPT:
Many young people find the idea of starting a job in a start-up exciting. Because you can still have a say there, try things out and get something new off the ground. This is exactly what Siemens – Germany’s oldest startup – is all about. Because before garages existed, Werner von Siemens was already tinkering with innovative ideas in his workshop. This “ingenuity for life” still characterizes the company, and is also intended to inspire young people. With a lot of humor and self-irony, we portray the everyday life of apprentices and dual students at Siemens and show: If you have a spark of inventiveness, you can expect a future here!
IMPLEMENTATION:
We spent a week filming at the training center in Erlangen and in Munich at the headquarters of Siemens. We conducted many interviews with the students and trainees and were shown their favorite places. The entire image concept was rounded off with Siemens footage (e.g. of the Mars mobile or a subway train that runs without a subway guide) and funny graphics and typography elements from our art department.
