The Enablers
TASK:
HAGEDORN is the fourth largest demolition company in the world. The group of companies is growing rapidly, has a wide range of services and an innovative corporate culture. An image film should depict the extensive group of companies in presentations and on the website in a short and crisp way.
CONCEPT:
In order to cover the broad range of topics covered by HAGEDORN, we developed the umbrella concept “Enabler”. This stands for both the services of the group of companies and the claim to make sustainable land use possible. In addition, the concept puts the people at HAGEDORN in the foreground as “doers” and also shows the opportunities that they themselves are offered as employees.
The film itself tells the history and present of Hagedorn around the topic of “possibilities”.
IMAGERY:
It was clear from the beginning that the film would also contain archive material in order to be able to show particularly impressive moments from the company’s everyday life. For example, the blowing up of a coal-fired power plant or the renovation of Cologne Cathedral.
In order to combine the old material with the newly shot, the film was literally framed. With split screens and a high editing pace, the film shows an extremely large number of impressions in a short time and can therefore tell a very dense story. The rounded corners offer a view of the company’s offers from the outside as if through a shop window.
IMPLEMENTATION:
Filming took place at various construction sites and at the headquarters. A mixture of moving images and photos was able to capture impressive sequences and fleeting moments at the same time. To enhance the diversity of the archive footage, innovative footage was also shot with 360-degree cameras and FPV drones.
A female voice gives the film additional power and asserts itself in the male-dominated construction industry in a cheeky and innovative way.
SUCCESS:
The film receives very positive feedback on all channels. It radiates both internally on the employer brand and externally on the dynamism and innovative power of
HAWTHORN. Thanks to its short and compact narrative form, it is used for a wide variety of platforms and occasions and is therefore a real enabler in its own right.
